Autumn 2026 BaZi Forecast: September to November Timing Guide

This autumn 2026 BaZi forecast compares the solar months spanning the familiar September-to-November planning season. The sequence includes Metal, Earth, and Water branches, paired with different Heavenly Stems. The guide explains those calendar periods and their relationships to a Day Master, then offers questions for reading them alongside the natal chart and current Luck Pillar. The same seasonal element has different roles across charts.

If you’re new to BaZi, remember: your personal chart, your current 10-year Luck Pillar, and the annual and monthly cycles all interact. The most practical way to use this forecast is alongside your own chart, which you can generate using our onboarding tool or explore in more depth via our annual BaZi reading, monthly BaZi forecast, and Luck Pillars & BaZi 10-Year Cycles.

Understanding Autumn in the BaZi Calendar

In ordinary seasonal language, "autumn 2026" is a convenient shorthand for September through November. BaZi monthly timing is more precise than that. MyBazi monthly forecasts follow the Chinese solar calendar, using Jie Qi boundaries rather than lunar-month boundaries. A new BaZi month begins at the relevant solar term, which is the same timing contract used on our monthly BaZi forecast page.

The date ranges in this article follow those Jie Qi boundaries.

Key Timing Layers:

  • Luck Pillar: Your current 10-year cycle, setting the background tone for major life themes.
  • Annual Cycle: The year’s stem-branch pair is compared with the natal chart and Luck Pillar.
  • Monthly Cycle: The month’s stem-branch pair adds a shorter period to the comparison.

Compare these layers before assigning a theme. A repeated Metal or Water element identifies a repetition in the chart, not a shared experience for everyone. Check the Day Master relationship, natal season, element distribution, and other interactions to understand what the repetition means in that particular reading.

Elemental Tendencies for Autumn 2026

The BaZi solar months discussed in this autumn guide are:

  • Bing Shen, Yang Fire over Monkey/Metal: starts at Start of Autumn and ends before White Dew.
  • Ding You, Yin Fire over Rooster/Metal: starts at White Dew and ends before Cold Dew.
  • Wu Xu, Yang Earth over Dog/Earth: starts at Cold Dew and ends before Start of Winter.
  • Ji Hai, Yin Earth over Pig/Water: starts at Start of Winter and ends before Major Snow.

The September-to-November title is a familiar seasonal frame; the BaZi periods here run from Start of Autumn until Major Snow. Monkey and Rooster are Metal branches, Dog is Earth, and Pig is Water. For the astronomical transition dates, see the Hong Kong Observatory 2026 almanac.

Metal in Chart Context: Metal controls Wood, is controlled by Fire, and is generated by Earth. It therefore has Authority, Wealth, or Output roles for those respective Day Masters. Questions about responsibility, resource management, or expression follow from that relationship, rather than a fixed meaning of Metal. Whether more Metal is helpful requires the natal season, balance, and other interactions.

Water in Chart Context: The Hai branch belongs to Water. Metal generates Water, and Water generates Wood, so Water is Output for a Metal Day Master and Resource for a Wood Day Master. Expression or learning can therefore be relevant reflection themes for those respective relationships. Water alone does not establish wisdom, adaptability, or an introspective mood; read its role with the natal season, balance, and current Luck Pillar.

Traditional Patterns to Observe

1. Elemental Interactions

  • Metal controls Wood: Metal has an Authority role for a Wood Day Master. The amount of Wood alone does not show whether that relationship is helpful; compare Resource, Output, and the other natal and timing interactions.
  • Metal generates Water: For a Metal Day Master, Water has an Output role; for a Water Day Master, Metal has a Resource role. That identifies the relationship, not a promised opportunity to learn or change direction.
  • Earth in the Xu month: Earth generates Metal and controls Water. Both relationships must be read in context; Earth does not automatically stabilize the chart or buffer a seasonal transition.

2. Ten Gods and Relationship Roles

  • Official/Authority: Metal is Authority for Wood Day Masters because Metal controls Wood. This relationship can prompt reflection on rules, responsibility, and pressure, with its significance depending on the full chart.
  • Wealth: Metal is Wealth for Fire Day Masters because Fire controls Metal. Use that relationship as a prompt to review resource management; it does not predict income or investment returns.
  • Output: Metal is Output for Earth Day Masters because Earth generates Metal. This relationship can prompt reflection on expression and creative work. Metal is Resource for Water Day Masters and Companion for Metal Day Masters, so the same month has different roles across charts.

3. Timing Patterns and Luck Pillar Context

  • If Metal or Water repeats across the Luck Pillar and month, identify its role relative to the Day Master and check whether it reinforces an existing excess or participates in another relationship.
  • If the Luck Pillar and monthly elements form a controlling relationship, examine which element controls which and how the whole chart responds. A controlling relationship is not by itself a reason to expect friction or postpone a plan.

Reflection Prompts for Autumn 2026

  • What areas of your life feel ready for refinement or letting go?
  • Where are you being asked to clarify boundaries or decision-making?
  • Are there themes of authority, responsibility, or recognition surfacing?
  • How can you prepare for the Water-month periods ahead?

Remember, BaZi patterns describe tendencies and timing windows—not guaranteed outcomes. Use this season for practical reflection, not rigid prediction.

Practical Planning Tips

  • For Wood Day Masters: Metal is Authority relative to Wood. If the full reading highlights that role, ask which responsibilities are already present and which expectations need clarification.
  • For Fire Day Masters: Metal is Wealth relative to Fire. Review the resources a real project requires and what is available; the relationship does not establish income or a favorable financial period.
  • For Earth Day Masters: Metal is Output relative to Earth. Ask which ideas you want to express and what practical feedback would help. The following Earth month adds a Companion relationship, not guaranteed stability.
  • For Metal Day Masters: Metal is Companion relative to Metal. Use a chart-specific reading to frame questions about peers or your own approach; sharing the month’s element does not confer a seasonal advantage.
  • For Water Day Masters: Metal is Resource relative to Water. Consider what learning or support you actually need. Water in the later Hai month has a Companion role and does not prescribe introspection or a particular mood.
